Meet Your Therapist
Sevonte Miller, LCSW
My name is Sevonte Miller and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in helping individuals break through persistent cycles of depression, anxiety, anger, and trauma. My clinical philosophy is built on the conviction that true healing requires honoring both the echoes of the past and the practical demands of the present — and that therapy should move clients well beyond symptom management toward deep, lasting change.
My practice integrates evidence-based frameworks with particular depth and skill. Through EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), I help clients process traumatic memories — reducing their emotional charge and freeing clients from being repeatedly triggered by the past. Through DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), I equip clients with a concrete toolkit for managing intense emotions, navigating conflict, and building present-moment awareness through mindfulness and distress tolerance skills.
Whether a client is carrying a persistent sense of heaviness, experiencing the physical toll of chronic stress, or struggling with emotional reactions that feel outside their control, I work collaboratively to build resilience and clarity. My goal is to help clients move toward a life that feels balanced, empowered, and authentically their own.
